What is Pathway to Belonging
Pathway to Belonging is a year long course for people who are looking for sustainable, long term, secure housing. People who may be new to the City or due to personal circumstances, are looking for a place to call home can join the course.
Pathway to Belonging provides support in a safe space that enables people to gain confidence and plan for themselves: to have a pathway to gain the skills knowledge and understanding they need to find a home and future in Coventry.
The project is a partnership between organisations that include
- Coventry City Council Homelessness Team
- ACH,(Ashley Community Housing)
- Feeding Coventry, Christians against Poverty (CAP)
- Voluntary Action Coventry (VAC)
- Healthy Lifestyles
- Healthwatch Coventry.
Organisations working together to deliver the support and help people need to find their feet in life, to get the right support and services.

By working together we are reaching out to new people. As Healthwatch Coventry we were delighted to be able to be involved with the Pathway to Belonging Groups, to explain health and social care and how we can use people’s experiences to make change.
We made the group aware of our Independent Health Complaint Advocacy Service (IHCAS) and their right to complain if something went wrong with the services they received. We are delighted to say that we have been part of their journey, through listening to their stories and encouraging them to participate.
As people who have gone through difficult times and challenges, small steps are vital toward the future. Issues with language, mental health and physical health can all damage confidence and self esteem.
