Pharmacy First

Pharmacy First scheme enables your local pharmacy to treat some common conditions with prescription-only medicines, without you visiting your GP. 

Your local pharmacy can now supply prescription-only treatment, if they believe you need it, for the following conditions: 

  • Sinusitis (for patients aged 12 years and over only)
  • Sore throat (aged 5+)
  • Earache (aged 1 year-17)
  • Infected insect bite (aged 1 year+)
  • Impetigo (aged 18 years+)
  • Shingles (aged 18 years+)
  • Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (women aged 16 to 64)

Keeping warm and well: staying safe in cold weather

Plan ahead:

Keep yourself warm:

  • heat rooms you spend most time in, to 18°C if you can
  • keep bedroom windows closed
  • wear multiple layers of thinner clothes

Prepare your home:

  • check what financial support may be available for you
  • use energy saving tips to save money on heating
  • make sure appliances are safe and working well

Coventry Open Christmas

Coventry Open Christmas is a safe place for anyone to go who is experiencing homelessness or is lonely or vulnerable. They are are open 24hours a day from December 24th Through to December 29th. They also offer overnight care so no one has to rough sleep.

Christmas Day lunch is being provided between 12noon - 3pm (no booking needed)
