New Number plate recognition parking system

A new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) car parking system is being introduced at the Caludon Centre on Monday 9th January 2023. This is to bring it into line with the rest of the University Hospital site.  The system is operated by CPM.

What does this change mean for patients and visitors?

  • Patients and visitors can park in the Caludon Centre car park but must add their vehicle registration to the Car Parking Tablet in the main reception, for authorisation to park for 2.5 hours.  If you don't do this you will be issued with a parking fine.
  • The parking bay at the front of the Caludon Centre has been allocated as a ‘drop off & pick-up’ point.  The maximum stay there is 30 minutes.

Parking outside the reception office hours

  • The reception is staffed between  8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.  Outside these hours and if there is no-one at reception when you arrive to complete your car details on the tablet, a sign will give a telephone number. You need to call this number to ensure you are not issued with a parking fine.

Disabled parking

Blue Badge holders must display their badge in their windscreen and register their vehicle registration number on the Car Parking Tablet in the main reception.

Place of safety bay

This area is for emergency vehicles only, all other vehicles parked here  will receive a parking fine.
