Welcome to Healthwatch Coventry

Do you or some one you know receive home support services?

If so, we want to hear your experiences.  Home Support services (also sometimes called domiciliary care) are important as they support people to live in their own homes through help from paid carers.  We want to find out what works well and what could be improved about these services.

We provide training, support and out of pocket expenses for volunteers.

We are recruiting volunteers to 4 interesting roles.

We have published a report which looks at patient centred communication on hospital wards.

Healthwatch Coventry carries out 'enter and view' visits to  care homes for older people  to see what it is like to live in the home. Our visits are carried out by trained  Healthwatch Authorised Representative volunteers.

Each care Home is asked for an action plan to address any recommendations.

  • New study compiles the views and experiences of those who live, visit and work in care homes across England.
  • Wide variation revealed, with great care contrasting with homes failing to get the basics right for every resident.
  • Healthwatch Coventry evidence used
  • National Care champion Healthwatch England urges homes to be more open to using feedback
