Update on Coventry's COVID-19 testing centres

Changes are being made to Coventry's community testing centres for tests for those without COVID-19 symptoms

The community COVID testing sites at the Hagard Community Centre in Willenhall, Xcel Centre in Canley and the AT7 Centre in Bell Green are set to close this Friday (18 June). That will be followed by the closure of the Moat House Centre on 23 June and the Alan Higgs Centre on 25 June.

This will leave 3 testing centres still open: Market Way in the city centre; the Indian Community Centre in Foleshill; and a new site at the former Woodlands School site in Tile Hill which will open on 24 June.

Opening times at testing centres are also changing:

  • Mondays and Fridays - open from 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • All other days - open from 10:00am - 4:00pm

Whilst the static test centres have done a wonderful job in taking testing out to different areas of the city, more and more people are choosing to use a home test, so we have taken the decision to alter the number of community test sites across the city to reflect this change and provide us with a more flexible delivery model.
