37 hours per week

Healthwatch Engagement and Volunteer Co-ordinator - NJC Scale Point 19: £24,799 pro rata, 7% employer pension contribution
32 hours per week

Healthwatch Information and Communications Officer

NJC scale pt. 21 £25,801 per annum, 7% employer pension contribution
37 hours per week

To support people to get the information they need by answering questions about NHS and social care from the public.

To help to gather local peoples’ views of health and social care by leading our external communications including our social media channels and promotional campaigns.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong call handling abilities. Skills in marshalling and writing information for different uses; making information easy to understand and writing campaign messages that will get people involved are also essential. You will have empathy for others, plus listening and problem-solving skills.

To seek out the views of patients and the public on matters relating to health and social care services through a range of outreach work. To recruit and support volunteers into different roles that support Healthwatch work.

You will be able to show you are a people person with listening skills and the creative thinking to design different ways to reach local people including those from less heard and diverse communities. You will have the ability to build relationships and be persuasive. You will understand good practice in volunteer recruitment and co-ordination and be well organised and able to think critically.
