Communication with patients on hospital wards

Healthwatch Coventry carried out visits to 9 wards at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire site at Walsgrave Coventry. We talked to patients, staff and made observations to understand how ward staff adapt communication for patients who have hearing or visual impariments or who do not speak English.

Routes for patients and carers to raise concerns with UHCW Coventry

A series of enter and view visits have been completed at UHCW to talk to people waiting in out-patient areas about raising a concern at the hospital. We asked 155 people what they would do if they were unhappy with anything at the hospital.
